The Pintester Movement!
Don’t forget, guys: We’re doing another Pintester Movement, and this time you can pick anything you want! Come be Pintester for a day. It’ll be fun. Details are all in this blog post, so come on and join us!
Atlanta? Anyone? Bueller?
I don’t want to miss you if you’re in Atlanta and want to meet up. I’m going to be there September 26-30 for the Type A Conference. (And if you’re going to the conference, come catch my session on optimizing images for Pinterest on Saturday afternoon!) If you’re a local or are going to be in Atlanta, too, let me know and we’ll plan a meet-up!
Requests for a theme song resulted in some awesome submissions, and some further suggestions.
ChickieD • Next video concept: Sledgehammer style stop motion video to the new Pintester theme song: flying chickens, dancing cockie cutters, and flaming crayons.
Ha! That would be awesome. Not sure my video editing skills are up to it, but yes, it would definitely rule.
I made some messy paleo fudge cups, but you came up with a solution for that…
Jen_K • “Just put the whole thing in your mouth at once and your fingers won’t get sticky!” (that’s what *he* said, lol)
And I’m sorry I failed you in the poop joke department…
Girl In Crowd • Honey, are you feeling okay? No poo jokes? No penis jokes? Only one diarrhea joke? Are you sick this week?
In fact I was sort of sick last week with a combination of the general blahs, some weird tummy thing, and what I think was either bad allergies or an ear infection. (Everyone sounded like a robot for a few hours. It was freaky.) I promise that I am feeling better this week and the poo/penis/other inappropriate jokes will resume as usual.
Emily • My dad is a beekeeper, I’ll send you a bottle if you promise not to waste it on fucked up pins! Every drop of that real shit is liquid gold yumminess.
OMG, I would never say no to that, and indeed, I never will say no if any of you ever want to send me things. Seriously. My address:
4711 Hope Valley Rd Ste 4F
Durham, NC 27707
Lots of you have already sent me lovely things and THANK YOU so much for that! (Check out previous Pinteste Round-ups to see some of the cool shit I’ve gotten in the mail!)
I posted the announcement for the next Pintester Movement and got some replies on that:
Miss Ginger Grant • I’m digging through my pins right now! And I have a great idea for the NEXT Pintester movement: let US post some original pins, and you pick on to try!
Now that’s a fun idea! I shall add it to my list of brainstorms and we shall see what we can come up with. I have a collaboration Pintester Movement planned for next month involving holiday-themed ornaments, and that one was suggested by one of your fellow Pintestes as well. I love hearing what you guys want to see and how you want to be involved here, so keep those suggestions coming!
I’m glad you guys liked my butternut squash soup poetry.
Eleni • You should write a book of poetry! I would totally buy that!
In fact, my sister and I have a halfways defunct (or never really launched) blog of all our spoof poetry called Sispoof. Maybe we should pick that up again…
Thanks for indulging my soapbox moment when I ranted about not letting opportunities pass you by.
kittnen • Yup. Pretty sure I won’t achieve any of my goals of owning a house, being self employed or having kids by sitting on my ass and just waiting for it to happen. I guess I could lay down to get knocked up, though.
Chelsea • Well, you COULD lie down to get knocked up… but that’s not nearly as fun, IMO.
Do what you gotta do, ladies.
Thanks for all those lovely comments this week, my little Pintestes. Keep being wonderful!
(Just a note: If you are a blogger, be sure to add your blog URL to the Disqus profile you’re using to comment here. That way I can link to your blog! I wanna give you the love, yo.)
