You looked so cute in that video – why isn’t there a post on how you did your hair? I mean, come on… everybody knows you got the idea for that from Pinterest anyway.

Fancy video! Is there a pinterest page on the tools you used to make it? I’m supposed be posting a video of me but every combination of lighting makes me look like an unsexy version of Morticia. Am frankly of terrified of putting video out there so kudos to you for being so fave (funny+brave).

Thanks! No, I don’t have a page for the tools, but here’s what I used: Cannon T3i (with kit lens), Rode VideoMic Pro VMP Shotgun mic, tripod (some cheapie I’ve had forever), Final Cut Pro X. Lighting is just sun from my large window.

The portmanteaus that get used in my house all seem to center around food. My husband and kids are vegetarian (not me, though, I like meat too much to ever fully go that route. Anyway…) My favorite one has to be feat, by which we mean fake meat, generally fake hamburger. I can make featloaf, featburger pie… Another good one is fricken. Fake chicken SHOULD come out to be ficken, but I prefer adding the r. That way, we can have fricken fajitas, and fricken pot pie, and fricken dinner of any sort, really. It may not seem like much, but imagine how much fun dinner is to talk about in front of random strangers. “I can’t decide whether I’d rather have feat pot pie or fricken. Maybe a fricken feat?” (incidentally, the two don’t go together well. I don’t recommend.)

You look so pretty in the video! I love what you did with your hair. I’d like to see more of the hairdo, my hair is about the same length and my repertoire is a pony tail and boring hair clip. And thanks for the education. I hadn’t heard of portmanteaux’s before.

So pretty! Love the hair. ESPECIALLY love that you verbified ‘portmanteaux’. “Portmanteaux some shit…” Wonderful.
