Hey Sonja! Drop a hint of nail polish remover into your nail polish to make it less goopy 🙂

I actually use nail polish thinner (which is better for your polishes than adding nail polish remover) but I was too lazy to go get it. 😉

I’ve always been too cheap (lazy) to look into that, I will invest! Thanks

Nail polish remover will actually start breaking down the polish (which is how it gets the polish off your nails). But you can get thinner for supercheap at somewhere like Sally Beauty. I think I paid less than $5 for mine and I’ve had it for over 2 years now.

It will also take longer to dry.

Lol. It looks like those nuclear waste symbols. But zig zags would be cute.

Why did I think you were going to use the straw to blow the nail polish all over? Also, teal is your color, gurrrl!

    Bewbs.

I thought it looked pretty decent.

You’re right…it does look a little weird, but here’s a question about your last cocknails. How hard was it to get the gelous polish off? Did it come off like regular polish or did you have to fight with it?
Also thanks for my morning laugh. You rock!

I’m jealous of your cleavage girl….

I saw the original post used acrylic paint and then a clear coat over that. Maybe straws and polish just disagree. I want to try the bubble rum though ^_^

So THAT’S why my right index finger is all weird and flat! Writer’s finger… I’d never heard of it until now, but it totally makes sense 🙂

This works better with smaller straws (like juice box straws or cocktail stir straws). If you have curved nail beds, the straw can’t hit the whole thing at the same time.

Not going to lie… I was kind of in a boob trance for a few seconds there.

I have the same problem with my white nail polishes! Must be something in the formula. I actually kind of liked how the straw effect looked before the second color was added, but I have to be honest, that drink sounds not so yummy…

For nail polish that gets goofy, add a few drops of polish remover and shake well. Or go buy a fancy polish thinner from the store, but who has time for that?!

    • Crystal Colvenbach July 3, 2013 - 5:37 pm Reply

Meant to say “goopy”… But at least auto-correct didn’t totally fail me this time as goofy still makes sense! Winning

boo-bage’ is how I get men to lift heavy things for me! Ok with just red it looked like Haz Mat waste stickers! Which after that drink you may have needed. Do try it again with smaller dia. straws and more alcohol them we can have outtakes foe-tage’

Oh man! Using spiced rum in a drink that calls for regular rum is a guaranteed gag-inducer. In fact just throw all the spiced rum away forever. Yay!

I happen to have a deep love for Goldschlager. It makes me feel fancy and like my insides are at a disco.
