Now look, y’all. I certainly count myself as a feminist, and I do not disagree that it’s great to be an independent woman, but please don’t do this shit.
Or, if you’re going to make sweeping statements about the uselessness of men, at least learn how to punctuate properly and educate yourself on split infinitives, yeah?

This statement says nothing about the usefulness or uselessness of men. The salient word here is “need”. I know too many women who NEED a man and they’re pathetic. Wanting a man, ahhhhh…. what hetero woman doesn’t. :-).
Jenny- I think that you hit the nail on the head. I would hate my life if I HAD to be with a man for whatever reason (financial security, co-dependency,etc.) If I’m in a relationship, it’s going to be because I WANT to be in, not because I NEED to be in one.
This quote has the two biggest lessons my parents ever taught me. My dad taught me how to fix cars, do minor plumbing and other household repairs so that I would never have to rely on a man to do it for me.
My mom taught me to punch people in the throat if they make comma splices.
ok….tied for the funniest comment i’ve read in weeks.
I didn’t need a man – I needed a sperm bank. The sperm bank, on the other hand…IT needed a man! Well, a bunch, really. Otherwise it wouldn’t be a sperm *bank* so much as just a …well, wet spot, I guess.
HA!!!! funniest comment i have read in weeks.
And spiders. I need a man for to get rid of those bastards…
Grr no For. Apparently I need one to proof read as well…
I thought it sounded rather poetic.
Yeah! I love getting my grammar on with the Pintester.
I had to google split infinitives.
Now, now, grammar and proper English were invented by MEN. OBVIOUSLY this is a subtle protest against male inventions like, y’know, language.
lol
I need only one man. And I think we all know his name. *Doctor*
Well yes! Yes indeed!
Doctor…who?
Clearly I agree! 😀
I love this saying!
I would say the most important things a woman can learn are how to make money and then keep it. Then the whole man thing is less of a problem.
