Hello, my darling Pintestes! I am back from Atlanta! My long weekend was full of learning, teaching, making friends, and shakin’ it on the dance floor, plus a little extra sight-seeing while I was there. Check out my Instagram for some play-by-play.
I also got to meet some of you at the Pinteste Meet-up and it was so much fun! Thank you for coming out and hanging out with me! It was absolutely lovely. You ladies were just as fantastic in person as I knew you would be.
And thanks to those of you who’ve left this goodness in my comments this week, too.
I appreciate your concern over the gold leaf pedicure.
Daintynymph • I just have to say how disappointed I am that there was no goldschlager involved in this video. If there’s no alcohol, fire, or dick jokes, what’s even the point? 😛 Please make a video where you drink a lot of goldschlager and use the pen to gold leaf other stuff!
I know, I know. And I did actually consider Goldschlagging, but I was on a bit of a tight schedule to get it done, so I skipped it. Next time.
And, just to report back, my pedicure still looks great, even after five days of wearing boots, traipsing around Atlanta, and dancing. Also, I am not dead of any sort of skin or blood poisoning, so I’m probably in the clear.
Brooke Emshoff • Let’s talk about something for a hot second. The nails look good and all, but really? You managed that cute hairstyle without showing us how you did it? I’m sure there’s a great story behind it. Share? Please…?
No story, really. Here’s the tutorial. It works! I also wore it that way this weekend. Proof (and Goof):
Glad you guys enjoyed my awesome selfie in the plastic baggy camera filter post.
Kara • You need to open your aperture so that the edges of the bag are blurred out. That will get you the out of focus vignetting that you want. 🙂
Sandi Boyd • I don’t know that I’d feel comfortable going around telling people to open their aperture! Do you know her well enough to say things like that to her?
Baha! Oh, and just so you know, my aperture is pretty much always open. Because I’m that kind of girl, and I don’t need to apologize for it, thank you… (No aperture shaming here.)
My watermark tees failed, but you did not fail me in the comments.
Jodee Rose • If I had a dollar for every time I had encountered the sad, faint outline of a penis…
You should probably tell him to get that checked, Jodee.
Thanks so much for all your fun and awesomeness, peeps. Reading your comments is seriously the highlight of my day!
(Just a note: If you are a blogger, be sure to add your blog URL to the Disqus profile you’re using to comment here. That way I can link to your blog! I wanna give you the love, yo.)
Woah. I made the roundup…and I sounded snarky…whoops. My bad!
aww I was hoping to make roundup when I commented on the fb post about feet and how you traumatized me. Sigh….. I guess it’s just the penis and liquor that gets PT love. I get it now….sniffle….sob. (I still hate feet)
If you can relate the foot hate to penis or liquor I’m sure she’ll show you some roundup love. Have you tried drinking while watching pedicures? Maybe that would help. Or perhaps you could find a penis shaped like a foot? Or a foot shaped like a penis? Not quite sure which would be more unfortunate.
I hope you posted that picture to Instagram, because you are ROCKING the hipster look!
You look adoraballs in your pic with Goofy.
It was so awesome to meet you! And it was pretty cray cray to learn that when ordering a water, people really drink that fancy bottled water. “Um can we just have water from a sink in a glass?” Hehehe
You KNEW I was gonna put this here, right? LOL!!
[…] last week I told you I got to meet up with some Atlanta-area Pintestes while I was there, and then cutie patootie author Dylan James (who was one of the Pintestes who […]
