Life

Can’t life just be like life now and then? Why do we have to compare it to a box of chocolates, or a journey, or monkey bars… Wait, monkey bars?

Source unknown. If it’s yours, let me know.

Um, ok. Monkey bars. Fine. Then maybe it could be other playground equipment, too…

Life is like one of those bouncy animal-on-a-spring rides; just when you think you’ve got the hang of it, it smashes you in the face.

Some peoples’ lives are like a see saw, one person gets off and the other’s butt hurts…

Life is like a rock wall. Sometimes there is somebody at the top stomping on your fingers.

Life is like kindergarten recess. Sometimes the huge 1st grader with a buzz cut that was held back twice chases you down, tackles you, holds you by the pony tail, and demands that you give him the pink holographic ghost sticker your teacher gave you for cleaning up after snack time. And he gets dirt on your white shirt and your mom is mad at you when you get home and won’t let you watch afternoon cartoons.
Yeah, I’m scarred for life. What mom lets a 5 year old wear white clothing?

I’m not going to lie, when I first read it, i got really excited and thought you were going to make a cookie called “monkey bars”.  I think you need to invent a new recipe and pin it:)

Like the first week of kindergarten and you cousin insists that pudgy you can fit in the baby swing. So you get in and she pulls the safety bar down. All is fine until the bell rings when she runs inside leaving you stuck in the swing. Stuck and alone.

Life is like your elementary school playground that your family and friends helped build and you enjoyed for many years and then you return years later to see they’ve replaced it with a shiny plastic genero-scape. Memories are cool but shit changes when you’re not looking.

Sorry I’m late to the pin party on this one but a few years ago I was going through a lot of maaaaajor crap and it occurred to me that “Life is like vacuuming in the dark: you just have to trust that you’re picking up the right things along the way.” It’s kind of my motto now. (And it’s also on my Pinterest intro, too). OK I love you buh bye!
