Most quotes I don’t have a huge problem with. I mean, even if it’s wrongly attributed or it’s dumb, it’s just a quote, right? No one ever died from a quote. But this one fires me up, because you will miss out on things if you take this to heart…

And when I get fired up, so does my sarcasm engine. Oopsie.

Don’t be a veal guys. Stuff doesn’t know if it’s meant for you or not. You have to go get it.

Ok, I’m done preaching at you. Also I give you my full blessing to be a veal while you watch your sporting event of choice today.

I say something similar to my students. I tell them that because they have a brain and a body, theyare not allowed to sit around like a rock. They find it amusing when I tell them they are being a rock. Don’t be a rock or a veal, people.

Yup. Pretty sure I won’t achieve any of my goals of owning a house, being self employed or having kids by sitting on my ass and just waiting for it to happen. I guess I could lay down to get knocked up, though.

Well, you COULD lie down to get knocked up… but that’s not nearly as fun, IMO. 😉

My husband drives me crazy with that crap! I’ll get excited/stressed about something and he’ll tell me “If it’s meant to happen, it will.” Well…I believe if you want it, you’ve gotta go get it!

I feel you there.. my husband says I drive him crazy when I am worried about things. But, there are two types of situations going on.. 1. Things you can do something about and 2. Things you can’t. I have this little diagram on my desk that tries to remind me to not sweat the 2nd category (yeah…easier said than done). Do you have a problem? Yes/No. If No.. then don’t worry… If Yes Can you do something about it Yes/No.. if No.. don’t worry.. and if Yes.. don’t worry. I do get more stressed about the things that are out of my control… like mortgage applications.. or medical test results.. things that are going to come out the same.. no matter what you do. If I CAN do something about something.. I have some control and can make it happen the way I want.. or at least make a meaningful effort. That being said.. we do have some control over our destiny… it is up to us to be prepared to grasp the brass ring when it comes our way!

Shit that is meant for me isn’t always something I want. Run away! Run away! From crap that you don’t want & then go out & find whatever it is you do want. Don’t be a veal is awesome. My husband & I use cottage cheese though. You know, cuz it just sits there all lumpy like.

If you did choose to be a veal and the zombie apocalypse happened, I’d bet you’d be pretty tasty.

You know, that thing where one of the “People Also Liked” links is an ad is cheesy. I know you’re trying to not be a veal so you’re going after your dream of making money by blogging and all that, and I honestly don’t grudge it to you, but misleading links are one of those things that loses you readers, and if your social media consultant tells you otherwise you should fire her.
