Fast Chignon

1 Posted by - December 18, 2013 - Hair & Beauty, Videos

I’m attempting to do this cute chignon that I saw on Pinterest. Attempting. Not succeeding. Oops, was that a spoiler? Probably not if you’ve ever seen anything I’ve done ever before. (I even tried a chignon once before– and it was more like a chigNO.) You know this won’t end well. (If you can’t see the video, click here.)

I am a new follower. This was freaking awesome. LOL! I think you did it right, but I think you’re right about needing maybe… more length?? And BOBBY PINS. I definitely don’t see this happening with my hair without some of those. Dang false advertising. If someone succeeds at this I want to know.

If it’s worth anything, I think the original looks like twisted butt too.

Damn, now there goes my idea for my husband’s band’s new name. Sorry, Dave, Pintester already tossed out Twisted Butt. Back to the drawing board! 😉

This looks like it could have a lot of potential, but yeah…. it does look like Twisted Butt™.

I would totally buy a Twisted Butt™ t-shirt. And there is no way in hell that would work on my hair. Only takes 1 rubberband my ass. I’m thinking tons of product and about a bajillion bobby pins.

I’m thinking a black Twisted Butt™ t-shirt similar to the old Iron maiden shirts, complete with metal font and everything!

At least your nails still look cute.

I kind of thought this was going to be a looser when you said just a single hair tie with those twists in the photo. (No pins, really?) But I can’t even manage a messy bun, so what do I know?

I hacked half my hair off a couple months back and just let it do whatever. I look like a tribble with legs on rainy days, but life’s simpler.

I actually tried this! It worked awesome! Got it on the first try with just one rubber band. I now can sport a chignon instead of my usual boring ponytail. A friend even made a comment on it. Nailed it and my hair isn’t much longer then your hair. Failed thou when I tried it on my daughter.

It worked on my husband, but his hair is longer, and yours is thicker. I have no clue how it would hold up. It stayed for an hour and a half, but he was just playing computer games.

This would have worked if you made the original loop smaller. The point is that the three sections have to be equal sizes. That’s the only way it would look good. Also- bobby pins. Lots and lots of bobby pins.
