Fallen Angel

I decided to get my drank on tonight while I was cooking up some pizza rolls. And you know I can’t do anything these days without checking my boards first to see what I’ve pinned. I came across this beauty called a Fallen Angel:

The recipe is as follows:

2 oz. dry gin
1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
1 dash Angostura bitters
2 dashes white crème de menthe
Ice cubes
Tools: shaker, strainer
Glass: cocktail
Garnish: mint sprig

Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish.

Well, you knew something was bound to go wrong, and in this case, that something was my inability to buy proper liquor. I could not find white creme de menthe. Instead, I used this stuff, which quite resembles Drain-o:

The results were predictable, but still kind of awesome, I think. Also, I ran out of martini glasses. Oops.

And it actually didn’t taste that bad. Kinda like someone mixed toothpaste with limeade. Like I said, not that bad. Cheers!

Start every blog post with “drank and pizza rolls”. I seriously thought this was like a cup of fat/grease when you tweeted a pic. I’m so glad it wasn’t and you didn’t have to drink it.
