1. “The Dude Abides” party was pretty rockin’. Hoping to have a video up about that tomorrow… maybe… if I can get my camera(s) to cooperate. Special shout-out to Karen G. who came up and introduced herself and said she was there just to see ME! I may have teared up a little. Thank you Karen!
2. There is still time to enter this week’s newsletter drawing for the nut bracelet! Check out the instructions at the end of the newsletter, and if you’re not already subscribed, be sure to do that. You can’t win unless you’re subscribed to the newsletter!
3. My next appearance is at the Type A Conference in Atlanta this month! I don’t know how many of you are fellow bloggers, but if you are, Type A promises to be an awesome blog conference. (It’s sold out, but you can still get on the waitlist.) I’ll be talking about optimizing your images for Pinterest in a session on Saturday afternoon, so if you’re going, find me! I’d love to talk with you!
Also, if you’re local to Atlanta, drop me an email if you have any interest in a meet-up while I’m there (Sept 27-29). We could totally hang out at a bar for a little while or something. I’d be down for that, yo.
And now, Pintestes, here’s what you’ve been up to in the comments this week.
I jokingly asked for a Pinteste Round-up theme song last week, and a couple of you rose to the challenge. I never should have doubted you.
KimJ • My submission for a theme song:
Where’s the place that you can be
As crude as sailors on the sea?
The Pintester is right for me,
It’s great to be a Pinteste!
It’s the Pinteste Round-Up!
This has a fantastic ring to it– like the Spongebob Squarepants theme song or something. Love it!
And here’s another one:
jadestormcloud • I misread the request for a theme song & wrote one for your blog rather than for just the Round-Up. Oh, well. Here it is anyway. It’s to the tune of “Sledgehammer.”
I could test your craft project
if you send me the right supplies
I can follow recipes perfectly
OK, that’s a total lieAll you do is pin it
I’ll test anything you seeI could make a cocktail

It’s what I’m doing, doing
All day and night.
Dude. Dude. Amazing.
Thank you both for those fabulous submissions!
I hated on white crayons a little bit, and someone rightly pointed out that white crayons are people, too (or something).
HemeraDemeter • Stop hating on the white crayon.
Image from Zaarin on DeviantArt
Consider me schooled.
Also, the crayon didn’t burn long, so I got a comment on that, too.
Theresa Brundage • Well, that lasted about as long as a Nazi at an Ark opening.
No kiddin’.
Speaking of animated gifs, I used some in my tiara post on Friday.
Allie • The tiara was way cute on you! You just need to add some bling, but something better than the flower on the original pin. Oh, and Moriarty!! Only, can you use a gif of Sherlock next time you talk about making things stiff?
Hell yeah I can.
You’re welcome.
I’m not sure why more than one of you went to French maid with the tiara thing, but you did.
SuzieQueue • You can add it to your French maid outfit for sexytimes! Wait… is that just me?
No, Suzie, it wasn’t just you. Guess that one will be a popular giveaway in one of these newsletters coming up… If you win that one, please do me a favor and only send me rated G pictures of you wearing it. I can’t have your significant other gettin’ all jealous-pants because I contributed to your sexytimes.
Thanks, as always, for your brilliant, witty, hilarious comments. You are the lights of my life, Pintestes, and I sort of want to lick you all.
(Just a note: If you are a blogger, be sure to add your blog URL to the Disqus profile you’re using to comment here. That way I can link to your blog! I wanna give you the love, yo.)

Next video concept: Sledgehammer style stop motion video to the new Pintester theme song: flying chickens, dancing cockie cutters, and flaming crayons?
I just let my daughters watched the IJ with the melting Nazi for the first time. They’re almost 6. I’m probably a terrible mother. Not that watching Nazis melt is bad, just inappropriate content in general. At least I’ve taught them not to use the word “sex” (which they heard on the news, btw). They say “s”.
Is this my 15 minutes of fame? 🙂 — Please, please, no autographs. I just want to go about my day like a normal person.
Now I’m sad that I didn’t comment and didn’t make it into the round-up! It’s just because I read your blog at work and I’m not logged in there… maybe I should stop reading blogs at work… or maybe not.
Those were some pretty amazing theme songs! Also I enjoyed the gif of Sherlock possibly more than I should
You and me, both, Lora! I keep going back to it…and away..and back…and away…and back…and away..
Wait, what was I talking about?
love the sledgehammer song so much and omgosh super points for making a sponge bob sea chanty for the round up. that’s crazy… goooooood. and also just crazy.
OMG! I made the roundup & got to see a Sherlock stiffy GIF! Mmm, Sherlock.
That white crayon drawing is amazing. I was over here like “you can use them on Easter eggs” which feels pretty weak now.
The sledgehammer song needs a music video….I can totally picture it in my head but I would have no idea how to go about making it lol.
